Job summary

Boone County Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist to join our laboratory team. You will perform tests across hematology, chemistry, and microbiology, ensure quality control, and maintain equipment to support patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a MLS/CLS degree (certification preferred), works well in a fast-paced environment, and can train staff while ensuring accurate results. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MLS/CLS or related field.
• MLS/MT certification preferred.
• Experience across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology.
• Proficient in LIS and SOPs.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Phlebotomy.
• Assist training and competency assessments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain test records and verify lab orders.
• Communicate critical results to staff and patients.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
• Implement new analyzers and methods.
