Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a clinical laboratory professional to perform routine and complex tests, process specimens, and report results. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science or an equivalent credential and active licensure or board certification as MT/MLS/CLS/MLT per applicable state rules.

Candidates should be able to operate and troubleshoot lab instruments, participate in quality control, and support the LIS workflow with accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting CLIA 42CFR493.1489 requirements.
• Certification maintained if held; CSA/ASCP/AMT/AAB/HEW/HHS recognized credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures in assigned sections.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots instruments and equipment; reports issues promptly.
• Ensures quality control program adherence and data accuracy in the LIS.
• Processes and handles patient specimens with attention to pediatric volumes when required.
• Contributes to development and implementation of new testing procedures.
