Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Equivalent credentialing agency evaluation acceptable for US Bachelor’s degree.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures in assigned section.
• Operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and reports on instruments and equipment.
• Cross-trains to other laboratory sections as needed.
• Ensures quality control program is followed and compliant.
• Calculates, enters and verifies results; uses LIS for data entry.
• Notifies and documents critical laboratory values.
• Processes specimens with attention to pediatric volumes when required.
• Assists in evaluating and implementing new procedures and tests.
• Adapts patient care tasks to population-specific needs as required.
• Follows CHRISTUS Health core values and compliance requirements.

Formation

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology (CLIA 42CFR493.1489)

Credentialed equivalence by an acceptable agency (equivalent US Bachelor’s degree)
