Job summary

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a lab science and board certification; graduates may be considered with appropriate program completion. The position involves LIS operation and instrumentation maintenance, with a 5-day, 8-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1489 (includes U.S. Military laboratory training courses of at least 50 weeks)
• Education evaluated by credentialing agency and deemed equivalent to US Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complicated laboratory procedures in the assigned section.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation and equipment; notifies Bio-med as needed.
• Cross-train to other laboratory sections as needed.
• Ensures the laboratory's quality control program is properly followed.
• Calculates, enters, and verifies results; utilizes the Laboratory Information System.
