Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related science with transcript copy.
• Current state license where applicable and certification (ASCP, AMT or AAB generalist) or discipline, per facility.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB maintenance requirements for incumbents certified after 2004.

Responsibilities

• Perform, develop and interpret routine and specialized laboratory tests within established time frames.
• Record quality control results and perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Escalate when results are out of control and document corrective actions.
• Adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards for laboratories and safety guidelines.
• Assist in proficiency testing and inventory management for supplies and reagents.
• Maintain patient privacy and proper communication with care teams.
