Job summary
Mercyhealth is seeking a skilled laboratory professional to perform a range of tests from moderate to high complexity across multiple specialties. The role includes specimen collection, results reporting, and quality control, with involvement in instrument maintenance and staff training.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology required; qualified for high complexity testing per CLIA standard.
- Associates degree in Medical Technology with equivalent qualifications and extensive lab experience.
Responsibilities
- Collects patient specimens and uses information systems to manage samples and results.
- Performs waived, moderate and high complexity tests across hematology, urinalysis, chemistry and microbiology.
- Analyzes results for validity and accuracy and troubleshoots as needed.
- Ensures timely turnaround and reports any critical results.
- Maintains quality control and participates in proficiency testing.
- Maintains and calibrates laboratory instrumentation and participates in method evaluation.
