Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Associates degree with MLT certification.
- Qualified to perform high complexity testing according to CLIA 493.1489 Standard.
Responsibilities
- Use the Information System to receive patients, order and collect samples, result tests, and document quality control activities.
- Confirms accuracy of patient sample identification and documents specimen quality issues; initiates recollection when needed.
- Perform waived, moderate and high complexity lab tests in hematology, urinalysis, chemistry, blood bank or microbiology using automated and manual methods.
- Analyze results prior to release; troubleshoot and take corrective action for inaccurate findings.
