Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Per Diem Laboratory Assistant for evening shifts. You will perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, process patients, and ensure proper documentation and labeling in a hospital laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include identifying patients, collecting specimens, and delivering samples to the testing area while maintaining safety and accuracy. Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant background and phlebotomy training; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with healthcare exposure.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program; phlebotomy training is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; CPR/BLS required or preferred.

Responsabilités

• Verify patient identity and collect specimens following protocols.
• Greet and process outpatients; ensure complete order forms and demographics.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and proper labeling; adhere to policies.
