Job summary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy program completion; internship experience preferred.
• Strong attention to accuracy in labeling and records.
• Ability to communicate with patients and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately prioritizes processing and transport of routine and stat specimens.
• Properly identifies patient/specimen using established policies.
• Performs specimen collection in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs order entry according to established policies in an accurate manner.
• Maintains accurate, organized and legible written records (temperature logs, add-on, stericycle).
• Monitors supply inventory and maintains area in neat and organized manner.
• Utilizes hospital standards for proper phone etiquette.
