Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Akron is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician to join the Lab-Cleveland Clinic Akron General team. You will perform tests across complexity levels and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced clinical lab.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in clinical or medical laboratory science and CLIA high complexity qualifications; foreign credentials must be translated and evaluated. Training and ongoing development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Meets CLIA high complexity testing qualifications.
• Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided; education verified.
• Foreign education requires translation and NACES evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses and reporting.
• Maintain quality control and instrument calibrations; document results.
• Identify and correct issues affecting test performance; notify supervisors as needed.
• May train students and staff on procedures and safety protocols.
