Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician for the Akron General Lab. The role involves performing and interpreting tests across levels of complexity, maintaining quality control, and ensuring accurate documentation.

You will join a team dedicated to patient care and education within a world-class healthcare system. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a lab field, CLIA qualifications, and verified education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Meets CLIA high complexity qualifications per CFR.Title 42, §493.1489(b)(5).
• Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided; education will be verified.

Responsabilités

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses and reporting.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge relevant to job duties.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Address quality control issues and take corrective action.
• Maintain instruments and equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure good documentation practices and clear records.
• Perform proficiency testing per CLIA regulations and document results.
• Engage in continuing education and annual competency assessment.
• Identify test performance problems and notify supervisors as needed.
• Possibly train students and staff on theory and lab protocols.
