Labcorp in Burlington, NC seeks a Technologist Trainee to join our team. You will begin with comprehensive training and hands-on practice in core lab procedures.

Responsibilities include specimen triage, operating instrumentation, and reporting test results under established SOPs. A Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science is required; ASCP/AMT certification preferred for advancement. This is a full-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science.
ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
