Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our Allergy team. You will perform routine and specialized procedures, assist with testing, and support instrument maintenance while learning under experienced technologists.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science; prior lab experience is a plus. We offer full training, comprehensive benefits, and a schedule Sunday-Thursday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology is required.
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
