Job summary

New England Baptist Hospital is seeking a Lab Technologist to perform a broad range of blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and urinalysis procedures. You will use LIS systems, verify results, and support blood products processing in a fast-paced lab.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in medical technology or biology, ASCP certification (or eligibility within 12 months), and 0–1 year of related experience. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or biology required.
• ASCP certification or eligibility within 12 months of hire.
• 0–1 year of related lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Blood Bank procedures including cross matches and type and screens.
• Operate Chemistry and Hematology assays and troubleshoot instruments.
• Conduct Microbiology testing including PCR, cultures, and gram stains.
• Perform urinalysis and body fluid analysis per protocol.
• Document results and communicate critical values to care teams.
• Maintain LIS data entry and instrument maintenance.
