Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology.
• Certified as a Medical Technologist by ASCP/NCA/AMT.
• Knowledge of CLIA rules and regulations.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform hematology, chemistry and microbiology tests.
• Perform urinalysis, microscopy, rapid strep screens and throat cultures.
• Process specimens for reference laboratory testing and communicate with the lab.
• Maintain instrument QA, calibration and standardization.
• Document quality assurance and prepare for CLIA inspections.
