Duke Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician for Duke Raleigh Hospital to ensure proper collection of blood specimens and assist in their delivery to the laboratory. The role focuses on accuracy, patient interaction, and adherence to established lab procedures.

You will perform routine and specialized procedures, support quality control, manage specimens and paperwork, and collaborate with laboratory staff in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy training recommended with clinical rotation.
• One year of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist may be required for Phlebotomy duties.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory procedures as assigned.
• Prepare and initiate tests including cytogenetics, urinalysis, and phlebotomy.
• Properly identify and label specimens and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate professionally with patients and staff; document concerns.
• Support quality control, safety, and infection control processes.
• Receive, process, and distribute specimens; assist with office tasks as needed.
