Job summary

Exer Urgent Care is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform patient testing across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases. Training will be provided on hire, with competency evaluations mandated by CLIA'88.

The technician will process specimens, verify orders in LIS/EMR, operate equipment, and ensure safety, quality, and confidentiality while supporting scientists and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Requires CLIA'88 education/experience as described in the Education and Experience section.
• Minimum 1 year in a high or moderate complexity clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial specimen processing and verify test orders in LIS/EMR.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment with safety protocols.
• Conduct quality control checks and calibrate equipment as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and assist with referral testing as required.
• Record and monitor inventory, supplies, and instrument logs.
