Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience.

• Willingness to work variable shifts and overtime as required.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

Responsibilities

• Performs instrument preventive procedures and records maintenance per protocol.
• Verifies test samples for labeling accuracy and testing readiness.
• Manages and reports test results with accuracy; troubleshoots issues and notifies supervisor.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards.
• Provides empathetic communication to patients and families.
• Delivers lab reports and handles lab supplies; coordinates specimen transport.
