Job summary

Highmark Health laboratory is seeking a skilled MT/MLT to perform routine and complex analyses on clinical specimens under supervision. You will verify QC metrics, operate and calibrate equipment, and help maintain a compliant, efficient lab.

Preferred candidates hold an ASCP-eligible associate degree with clinical lab experience and may mentor students and new staff. Adherence to HIPAA and privacy guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with ASCP eligibility or equivalent.
• Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex lab procedures to provide quality clinical data.
• Verify accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and linearity of tests.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation.
• Identify QC issues and take corrective actions.
• Assist with specimen collection and processing as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked work area and support lab operations.
• Mentor MT/MLT students and new staff per policy.
