Qualifications

• Completion of a phlebotomy training program preferred.
• 1+ year of relevant healthcare experience required.
• Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collects patient, physician, and test order information to create patient accounts and verify details.
• May perform blood specimen collection (phlebotomy) for all age groups.
• Loads preanalytical instruments or delivers specimens to testing department.
• May perform point-of-care testing and related quality control tasks.
• May train new staff and students as a preceptor when assigned.
