Responsibilities

• Demonstrates organizational skills; organize work and files, multitask and keep lab areas clean.
• Responsible for accurately sending results; promptly fax or forward electronic results.
• Provide courteous telephone support and route calls as needed.
• Ensure proper patient registration and troubleshoot registration issues.
• Has command of computer systems; locate information quickly and navigate efficiently.
• Order tests accurately using dictionaries and panels; coordinate with floors as needed.
• Receive and distribute specimens; label and centrifuge appropriately; ensure timely processing.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide care for the age groups relevant to the department/work area.
