Qualifications

• Bachelor's in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical or biological science; transcript required.
• ASCP, AMT or AAB generalist certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire (if applicable).
• Current Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license in state of practice, or within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs, develops and interprets routine and/or specialized laboratory testing independently within established time frames.
• Performs quality control and instrument maintenance/troubleshooting; documents results and actions for accuracy and precision.
• Adheres to regulatory guidelines, accreditation standards, safety guidelines and proficiency testing protocols.
• Participates in performance improvement by data collection and analysis; supports cost reduction and inventory management.
• Maintains patient privacy and complies with all policies and standards.
