Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and MLS Certification or eligibility (ASCP preferred); externship experience is preferred. This role emphasizes quality control and compliant laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• MLS Certification or eligible (ASCP preferred).
• Externship program completed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens, in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner in compliance with documented laboratory procedures.
• Determines acceptability of specimens by performing visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal/unusual results.
• Maintains patient safety by ensuring accuracy and proper handling of samples.
• Performs quality control for all testing and ensures results meet established ranges.
• Maintains a safe and efficient work environment by equipment checks and adherence to policies.
