Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) at St. Vincent Medical Center Medical Office Building 2 to perform routine tests on blood, tissues, and other specimens and to provide physicians with accurate results using diverse laboratory equipment.

Emphasis on patient safety and data integrity is essential. The role requires a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science (or related field), MLS certification or eligibility, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field (required).
• MLS Certification or eligible by ASCP or similar (required).
• Externship program completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on clinical specimens accurately and timely.
• Ensures specimen quality and follows protocols for results release.
• Maintains equipment, performs quality control and adheres to safety standards.
• Supports patient safety and confidentiality in all laboratory activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
