Mercy Health in Irvine, KY seeks a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) to perform routine tests on blood and specimens, delivering accurate results to physicians. You will uphold patient safety, monitor equipment, and follow CLIA-compliant procedures.

Qualifications

• BS in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field from CLIA-approved program.
• MLS certification or eligible (ASCP preferred).
• Externship experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens accurately and in a timely manner.
• Determines specimen acceptability by inspection or by recognizing abnormal/unusual results.
• Recognizes factors that affect measurements and takes action per protocols.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges before release to physicians.
• Maintains a safe and efficient work environment by inspecting equipment, cleaning areas, and troubleshooting instruments.
• Other duties as assigned.
