The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (or related field) and ASCP-eligible certification, with externship experience preferred. A strong attention to quality and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• CLIA-approved program required.
• Externship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens accurately and timely.
• Determines acceptability of specimens by inspection and result review.
• Recognizes factors affecting measurements and takes action per protocol.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges.
• Maintains equipment and a safe, efficient laboratory environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
