Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) at Anderson Hospital to perform routine tests on blood and other specimens, and provide physicians with accurate results using a range of clinical laboratory equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology or Biochemistry (required).
• MLS Certification or eligible by a recognized agency (required).
• Externship program completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens in a timely, accurate manner.
• Determines acceptability of specimens by visual inspection and result review.
• Recognizes factors affecting measurements and follows protocols.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges.
• Maintains a safe and efficient work environment and troubleshoots equipment.
