Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution or equivalent training per CLIA 42CFR493.1489.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures in the assigned section.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Cross-trains to other laboratory sections as needed.
• Ensures the laboratory quality control program is followed.
• Calculates, enters, and verifies results; reports critical values.
• Uses Laboratory Information System for documentation and reporting.
• Performs phlebotomy and patient-oriented tasks as required.
• Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology

Equivalent laboratory training and experience per CLIA 42CFR493.1489
