Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our Royal Oak, MI laboratory. This full-time role operates Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rotational weekends, performing moderate/high complexity tests in a high‑volume lab and supporting quality control initiatives.

Candidates should have an AS or BS in Medical Technology or related field, and be able to work independently with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or an Associate degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide a credential evaluation from IERF.
• One year full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independence.
• Support quality control and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Enter test results into LIS for standardized physician reports.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety requirements.
• Assist with training and potential lead responsibilities as needed.
