Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree with science coursework (chemistry, biology, math) as specified.

Responsibilities

• Performs, reviews, and reports complex laboratory tests according to procedures and standards.
• Operates and maintains equipment; manages workload and organizes workstation.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots QC problems following standard operating procedures.
• Familiar with Laboratory Information System and downtime procedures.
• Maintains inventory and supplies to reduce waste/expense.
• Assists in student training and new employee orientation.
• Assists in specimen collection and adheres to chemical and biohazard safety.
• Submits supply requests and restocks workstation.
• Supports a positive work environment and adapts to department needs.
• Maintains confidentiality and communicates effectively.
