Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a medical/clinical laboratory science or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or MLS/AMT/ASCP eligibility within 1 year.
• MLS/ASCP certification within 1 year is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of laboratory instrumentation and disciplines, including supply inventory and quality control.
• Perform basic to complex clinical laboratory tests with established protocols and equipment.
• Distinguish normal vs abnormal results and alert staff; ensure rechecks when needed.
• Communicate laboratory data to appropriate departments accurately and timely.
• Develop protocols, lab manuals, and CQI initiatives; participate in instrument procurement.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on equipment and procedures.
• Advise on pre-analytical specimen collection, handling, and storage requirements.

Education
