Job summary

Avera DeSmet Memorial Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our multidisciplinary team. You will perform clinical laboratory tests, operate instrumentation, and ensure quality control and accurate reporting.

The role is a day shift with call, every third weekend and holiday, and involves sample handling, calibration, and timely communication of results to providers. PTO day 1, retirement match, and mentorship accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Associate's Transcript showing Medical Laboratory Technology degree.
• Technical Certificate Transcript showing Medical Laboratory Technology degree.
• MLT - American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day operations of laboratory instrumentation and supply inventory.
• Perform basic to complex clinical laboratory tests following procedures.
• Communicate test results accurately to healthcare providers and other departments.
