Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform pre- and post-analytical duties in the clinical lab. You will maintain equipment, prepare specimens, and report results following SOPs to support patient care.

The role requires Bachelor's degree in a lab science and 2+ years of lab experience. Applicants should be proficient with MS Office and able to work flexible hours in a full-time, on-site setting at our facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant laboratory field is required.
• 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical activities: equipment checks, inventory control, specimen collection.
• Conduct post-analytical activities: report results and provide technical support.
• Adhere to SOPs, safety policies, PPE, and hazardous waste procedures.
• Participate in proficiency testing and education for staff.
