Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for Nampa Medical Center to perform a range of tests and ensure accuracy in patient diagnosis. The role involves rotation across Chemistry, Blood Bank, Heme/Coag, Micro & Special Chemistry, and strict adherence to QC protocols.

The position is full-time on night shift with seven consecutive days off every two weeks. Requires a Bachelor's degree and ASCP/AMT certification or eligibility within 1 year, plus completion of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Required.
• ASCP/AMT certification or eligibility within 1 year of hire date.
• Completion of medical technology training required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate in Chemistry, Blood Bank, Heme/Coag, Micro & Special Chemistry.
• Perform, record and review scheduled QC; take corrective action when needed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; document instrument performance.
• Verify specimen labeling, integrity and suitability before testing.
• Perform low, medium and high complexity testing per protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Report results accurately; communicate critical results to appropriate staff.
• Prioritize workload; assist other areas when needed.
• Perform phlebotomy as required by laboratory policies.
