Job summary

UVM Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Outreach Specialist to manage outreach accounts and develop new business. You will serve as liaison between the laboratory and regional hospitals, providers, and network development staff, ensuring accurate processing, reporting and billing.

The role emphasizes patient care, regular site visits to practices and hospitals, and exploring new geographic and service lines while tracking market trends to expand outreach opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in health care, biomedical sciences, or business with healthcare background.
• Medical technologist certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years' experience in a health care setting, with exposure to pathology/laboratory medicine.

Responsibilities

• Manage outreach accounts and develop new business for the laboratory.
• Serve as liaison between the laboratory and regional hospitals, providers, and network staff.
• Maintain regular visit schedules with outreach providers, practices and hospitals.
• Promote good customer service and problem solving to existing accounts.
• Evaluate and expand outreach opportunities in new regions and service lines.
• Ensure proper processing, reporting and billing of client tests and delivery of services.
