Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field (chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology).
• Experience or training in high complexity testing or an appropriate Clinical/Anatomic Laboratory.
• Strong leadership and teaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the laboratory division and assist the manager.
• Manage personnel, orientation, goal setting, scheduling, and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation agencies (CAP, FDA, AABB, NYS, JCAHO, OSHA, EPA).
• Contribute to budget input, cost management, and succession planning.
• Maintain laboratory computer information systems and support teaching and customer service excellence.
