Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Lab Operations Leader responsible for the daily operation of the laboratory, directing staffing, workflow, quality, safety, and compliance. The role ensures adherence to regulatory agencies including FACT, JC, OSHA, and CLIA, with a focus on staff development and program oversight.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Sciences, ASCP-BOC certification, and 5–7 years of hospital CLIA laboratory leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Sciences required; experience in lieu of degree not accepted.
• ASCP-BOC certification (Medical Technologist) required; HT(ASCP) preferred.
• 5–7 years of lab experience with leadership in a hospital CLIA setting.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains QA systems to ensure performance and remedial actions.
• Oversees staff and workflow to ensure SOP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures readiness for Joint Commission and FACT inspections.
• Coordinates clinical trials with investigators, QA and compliance.
• Staff training and education including safety and infection control.
