Job summary

Freenome seeks a Clinical Laboratory General Supervisor to oversee the Analytical Laboratory and CLSs, guiding daily operations and troubleshooting complex issues. You may perform high-complexity testing, interpret patient results, and ensure QA/QC in accordance with regulatory requirements.

The role reports to the Senior Director, Laboratory Operations and requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive quality and efficiency across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising clinical laboratory personnel.
• Ability to troubleshoot high-complexity problems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day supervision of laboratory personnel.
• Overseeing daily operations of the laboratory, including scheduling and troubleshooting high-complexity problems.
• Writing performance evaluations and reviewing SOPs and training forms.
• Conducting annual review of SOPs and work instructions.
• Coaching CLSs and laboratory associates and assisting with skill development.
• Managing testing and validation of new procedures and equipment.
• Performing laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses as needed.
• Reviewing and reporting study results in LIMS.
• Documenting QC procedures and maintaining equipment.
• Leading training of personnel in new procedures and in testing.
• Participating in internal and external inspection preparation.
