Job summary

Adaptive Biotechnologies in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to lead a high-throughput CLIA/CAP diagnostics lab. You will oversee daily staff, coordinate sample processing, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance across workflows.

Key responsibilities include scheduling, training, competency verification, equipment maintenance, and escalations of safety issues to management. Strong communication and leadership are essential to maintain test performance and EHS

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing.
• Familiarity with CLIA, CAP, and FDA regulatory requirements.
• Clinical laboratory certification or equivalent credentials.
• Strong communication and personnel management abilities.
• Willingness to work Wednesday–Saturday, 9:30am–8:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lab personnel and manage daily scheduling, task assignments and workflow coordination.
• Coordinate high-quality specimen processing with molecular techniques and quality oversight.
• Conduct staff orientation, training, and competency verification.
• Monitor equipment maintenance, address technical issues, and uphold test performance specifications.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies and report safety/regulatory concerns to management.
