Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College is seeking a full-time CNM faculty member in the Medical Laboratory Science field. The role emphasizes high-quality instruction, student success, and service to the college and community.

Faculty are responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and collaboration with clinical sites to enhance learning outcomes. The position requires a relevant degree, ASCP certification, and experience in clinical labs or teaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Current ASCP or ASCPi Board of Certification as MLT, MLS, or equivalent certification.
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience performing patient testing or equivalent teaching experience.
• Ability to travel regularly between CNM’s campuses and affiliated clinical training sites.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills sufficient to liaise with clinical site partners, students, and program faculty.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and assess assigned courses; align with program outcomes.
• Develop and revise curricula to maintain currency.
• Collaborate with faculty, clinical sites, and external partners.
• Provide student support outside class through office hours and mentoring.
