Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Billing and Lab Support Specialist to monitor billing processes, post charge data accurately, and resolve customer inquiries. The role requires attention to detail and coordination with clinical and technical teams.

You will act as on-site technical resource for specimen collection and processing, train staff on procedures, and help ensure timely test results while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; healthcare certification for MLT/CT preferred.
• One year of laboratory experience required; customer service and phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service with superior communication (verbal, written, listening) skills.
• Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds positive relationships with customers via phone interactions.
• Assists clients and coordinates with technical departments to ensure quality service.
• Uses proper telephone etiquette when receiving and transferring calls.
• Gathers caller details (name, date, time, phone) for accurate follow-up.
• Asks clarifying questions to identify problems and offer solutions.
• Advocates for customers and refers to other resources when needed.
• Provides accurate test results and follows guidelines for communicating verbal results.
