Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; science degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of laboratory experience or six months in inpatient phlebotomy at TCHHN.
• Ability to read and comprehend written information; data entry accuracy; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs core pre-analytical processing and verifies specimens.
• Maintains daily/weekly/monthly equipment checks and housekeeping.
• Provides patient specimens to the correct lab benches and handles transit.
• Answers laboratory phones promptly and communicates staffing delays.
• Assists in conditioning and preparing samples for reference labs.
• Supports EPIC order entry and outpatient walk-ins.
• Receives and processes orders, maintains inventory and supplies.
