Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Associate to analyze laboratory specimens and perform tests following standard operating procedures. You will maintain instruments, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure accurate data handling in a fast-paced clinical lab.

The role requires adherence to GLP, strict PHI handling, and timely completion of required trainings including HIPAA/PHI privacy and security. A BS/BA in a biological science and 0–2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in a biological science or similar field of study.
  • 0-2 years of industry-related experience.
  • Ability to apply standard operating procedures in a clinical lab.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in testing of patient samples according to SOP with high accuracy.
  • Maintains updated understanding of laboratory methods performed.
  • Follows GLP; keeps work space clean and organized.
  • Completes training and deadlines on time.
  • Recognizes and escalates equipment malfunctions; troubleshoots common errors.
  • Documents and escalates protocol deviations to lead/supervisor.
  • Communicates with the team and other departments, including via email.
  • Provides feedback on daily tasks and schedule to lead/supervisor.
  • Supports teammates in daily tasks and maintains professional conduct.
  • Works with PHI on paper and electronic forms; accesses PHI accordingly.
  • Completes HIPAA/PHI privacy, policies, and security training within 30 days.
