Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I to support licensed staff by preparing specimens and ensuring timely workflow across the laboratory. You will handle specimens, enter data, and maintain organization of samples and inventory.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to HIPAA/PHI privacy requirements, with training completed within the first 30 days and ongoing professional conduct expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Science-related degree preferred.
• Less than 1 year industry related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff with preparing specimens for testing.
• Receive and deliver specimens to workflows and labs.
• Maintain organization of samples and disposal.
• Enter patient data into LIMS.
• Prepare samples for shipment.
• Maintain inventory and supplies in the lab.
• Assist with cleaning lab equipment and benches.
• Stay updated on methods and required trainings.
• Complete training and deadlines on time.
• Escalate issues to lead/supervisor.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects (TAG, 5S).
• Conduct yourself professionally and adhere to policies.
• Handle PHI securely in paper and electronic form.
