Job summary

The Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist at TriCore Reference Laboratories is able to work independently with minimal supervision, and may perform one or more identified modalities. Compensation depends on the number of modalities performed, with a paid apprenticeship option for candidates without experience.

Regular attendance during scheduled hours is essential. Preferred candidates include those with HS diploma and CLAB program completion; ASCP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program preferred.
• PBT ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory for departmental functions.
• Participates in on-call coverage and holiday/weekend coverage as needed.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Handles clerical tasks and documents critical communications when needed.
• Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
