Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist to work independently with minimal supervision. The role covers one or more identified modalities and includes on-call responsibilities during scheduled hours. Compensation is dependent on the number of modalities performed.

Successful candidates may be considered for a paid apprenticeship level if no experience is present. Regular in-person attendance during scheduled hours is essential at the location.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a relevant CLA or comparable program.
• Valid driver's license and insurability required.
• Eligibility to work in a healthcare facility per law.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits problem-solving skills to ensure patient care and service levels.
• Handles on-call responsibilities and hospital communications as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality of personal and confidential information.
• Performs clerical tasks including documenting critical communications.

Education

HS diploma or equivalent

ASCP or equivalent certification

Completion of Clinical Lab Assistant program

Valid driver's license
