Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a dedicated onsite team member to perform CLIA waived laboratory tests under direct supervision. You will enter results into the LIS, prepare reagents, collect specimens, and adhere to SOPs while prioritizing STAT requests.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2 years in a clinical setting with data handling. Training and CSI participation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years in a clinical environment with data processing/specimen handling experience.
• Graduate of health/medical assistant or similar training program at an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Performs CLIA waived laboratory testing under direct supervision of a technologist and enters results into the Laboratory Information System.
• Accurately completes work according to SOPs and prioritizes urgent requests.
• Assists with basic QC and notifies a technologist of discrepancies.
• Accurately calibrates pipettes and thermometers and records data.
• Prepares reagents/controls for specimen testing.
• Prepares and/or collects specimens (blood, urine, feces, or other body fluids) for analysis with proper labeling.
• Retrieves specimens and coordinates with reference labs for testing when needed.
• Assists in training/new staff and maintains regulatory documentation.
