Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a general lab, specimen processing or phlebotomy area.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with main lab staff and departments to ensure patient care.
• Receive specimens into the laboratory information system.
• Input and retrieve lab results in the LIS or hospital system.
• Register specimen drop-offs (e.g., Home health) in LIS with accurate data entry.
• Process specimens for transport to reference laboratories and distribute accordingly.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity testing under CLS direction; ensure testing is ordered correctly.
