Job summary

Northwestern Medicine’s Cancer Center at Delnor Hospital in Geneva is seeking a full-time phlebotomy technician to support the laboratory workflow. You will receive and process specimens, enter data in LIS, and coordinate transport while collaborating with nurses and clinicians to ensure accurate test results.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 1 year of lab-related experience; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and at least 1 year of work experience in a general lab, specimen processing or phlebotomy.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy Certification or training from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lab staff, other departments, nurses and providers to ensure excellent patient care.
• Receive specimens into the laboratory information system (LIS) and input/retrieve lab results.
• Register specimen drop-offs in LIS with accurate data entry and coordinate courier pickups as needed.
