Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant II for a full-time day shift at the Oakbrook Cancer Center. You will support lab staff, handle specimens, enter results, and ensure proper processing and QC under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and at least 1 year in a lab, processing or phlebotomy, with preferred phlebotomy certification. This role offers full-time hours and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 1 year in a general lab, specimen processing or phlebotomy preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or training preferred.
• Ability to perform waived/moderate complexity testing under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lab staff and clinicians to ensure patient care.
• Receive specimens and input results into the system.
• Process specimens for transport and maintain QC records.
• Operate and maintain lab automation systems as appropriate.
• Perform diagnostic testing and report results to providers.
